I've only been here a couple weeks and I'm already pretty sure they just like jerking us around like that.

[ He doesn't say "it hurt too much to be a dream," though, because he's been put through much more painful dreams than this. ]

I've been here for over a year and sometimes I wonder.

[ That's true. He didn't consider the pain and the loss and the fighting. Not to mention what happened with Gokudera. But still. ]

Christ. With how long everyone's been here, I'm surprised they didn't do it sooner.

[ Gotta say, he's pretty impressed with how well these kids keep their heads on their shoulders. Especially after a year.

Right? Apparently Gokudera's been here even longer than I have.

Last April Fool's as a lot better, seriously.

[ Yamamoto's just lucky he got to go home for a break. It helps with the sanity thing. ]

It was a prank! It all happened and then nothing!! I mean it was pretty cool but bad at the same time.

I mean, considering the amount of people they got. And me! I can't even believe I fell for it.

I was a little wary when the exit popped up, but I guess it was the optimist in me that wanted to believe I'd be going home.

I think some of it had to be real. I mean, the highway's still there.

[ He pauses for a bit. And then sighs. ]

...How are you? Did you make it okay?

Yeah, I'm fine! I got out of the dairy before everything collapsed, and then I went to that western town with Crowe and Hitler.

[ignorant]

Good.

[ He smiles. Just a bit. ]

We got out as soon as the mecha started terrorizing the town! But we ended up in that town too. [ Did she just say Hitler?! ]

--Oh! We being Dean, Castiel, Gokudera, Tsuna, and the Empress.

Where you alright? I mean, during all that...?

For the most part! We made it out with pretty minimal damages.

What about you? [ He might sound worried. Obviously she's okay now, right? But still! ]

I was ok. There didn't seem much point to fighting once the robot came along.

Me neither. We made a pretty narrow escape and ended up in that ghost town.
