It was a fairly normal day. You know, dreadful lectures, crowded bus and unbelievably cold weather. Lee Jinki, the boy was, sat on his usual seat on the bus; fourth row from the back, right beside the window. He stared out the window much like the day before, daydreaming about fried chicken, fluffy pillows, and hot chocolate. Something was different today, he thought. He looked up and saw one of the most beautiful rainbows he had ever seen stretched out so far. It hasn’t rain for two whole days but there this rainbow was, bending gracefully in the sky with the ends disappearing among the houses and trees. It was seriously breathtaking.
Jinki felt the bus stopped and as a reflex, he immediately jumped off of it.
“The hell am I?” He breathed out as he looked around the neighborhood and realized that he didn’t recognize anything there. Jinki was a very imaginative boy. So the first thing that came into his mind was, of course, time travel. Thoughts were arguing inside his head whether or not he really did break the law of physics and traveled to the past or future. He came back to reality when he felt someone tapping his shoulder. He turned around and saw the most beautiful boy (if not human being) he had ever seen in his 21 years of living. Just the way that dark brown hair fell naturally on his forehead, almost covering one of his very beautiful cat-like eyes, and his perfect jaw line, not to forget those cute, kissable thin lips were enough to stop Jinki’s brain from functioning properly. He didn’t even realize he was staring.
“Yah, why are you staring at me?” The boy in front of him said. Jinki shook his head and didn’t think when he blurted out,
“Uhh… I know people said I’d find leprechauns and a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. I didn’t know I would find an angel too.” When Jinki finally heard himself, it was too late. The boy was already laughing.
“Was that supposed to make me like you?” The other only smiled awkwardly. Much to his surprise, the boy reached out his hand and smiled warmly. “You’re amusing. I’m Kim Kibum, what’s your name?”
“Lee Jinki.” He answered timidly.
“Okay Jinki, I’m actually late for work right now. But you can come with me, I mean I work in a café so, if you want to come with and yeah… you know, hang around.” Jinki nodded excitedly and walked with Kibum, completely forgotten that he was still lost.

Jinki ended up talking with Kibum for quite a long time. He found out that the boy was only two years younger than him. He had just graduated high school and well now working in this café. He was a good observer Jinki had concluded as the younger talked about the people that came in here. Jinki didn’t know what, but there was something completely magnetic about Kibum.
Kibum’s shift ended at 7 and they’ve been talking for three hours now. The weather had dropped to a magnificent 9-degree and when they stepped out of the café, that’s when Jinki realized that he still had no idea how to get home. Kibum being, well, Kibum noticed the uneasiness on Jinki’s face.
“What’s wrong?” Jinki grinned and bit his bottom lips nervously. Because, you know, stupidity is embarrassing.
“I… I don’t know how to get home.” He was sure that Kibum would laugh at him. Almost too sure that he was ready to hear ‘right, good bye’ and never saw Kibum again. He counted carefully as 12 seconds passed and Jinki still hadn’t heard any form of laughter coming out from the younger boy.
“What? What do you mean you don’t know how to get home? It’s freezing Jinki!” Surprised was he when all he saw was worries written all over Kibum’s pretty face.
“I…well…I missed my stop because I was looking at the rainbow. And yeah, I didn’t think I would be out this late.”
“Okay, I’ll take you the bus stop.” He grabbed Jinki’s hand in attempt to drag him.
“No, no. That’s fine. Just tell me where it is. It’s already late and you’re probably tired. You should just go home.” Kibum looked hesitant for a bit but nodded anyway. “I’ll be fine.”
“Alright then. Just walk three blocks from here and turn left. Are you cold?” He asked as he felt Jinki’s hand trembling in his. As expected, Jinki nodded. He rummaged through his bag and pulled out a pair of gloves and a scarf and quickly put them on Jinki who was turned into some kind of a statue by that action. “I always carry them you know, just in case.”
“Thank you.” The other only smiled and Jinki wouldn’t deny this, but he felt like someone let out butterflies in his stomach. “It’s very nice to meet you Kibum. So… Goodbye then?”
“Why goodbye? Don’t you want to meet again?” His lips started to form a smirk when he saw Jinki’s dumbfounded expression. “So I’ll see you soon?” He didn’t wait for Jinki’s answer. He just turned around with the biggest smile pinned on his face. “Because I expect my stuff back you know!”

Kibum arrived at his doorstep with a smile still decorating his pretty face. He couldn’t stop thinking about that… unique stranger he met today. He looked at his reflection on the window and chuckled to himself. The grin playing on his lips, his rosy cheeks and the fact that he wanted to giggle every time Jinki’s name popped in his head were more or less turning him into a teenage girl.
“Yah! Kim Kibum where have you been?” Shouted a guy as soon as Kibum stepped in.
“Work, Jonghyun. Work.” He slumped on the couch and laid his head on the said man’s lap. Jonghyun’s finger automatically found their way to Kibum’s hair, stroking it slowly in a calming manner.
“I saw you with a guy today. Who was he?” Kibum only sighed. “You have got to stop hitting on strangers.”
“I was just being nice. Stop being so jealous.”
