There’s always been a doubt in Kibum that he really wished he could clear. It’s been bothering him for the longest time and he couldn’t stand how distracted he’s been feeling because of this entire issue. It’s not like he didn’t dare to confront Jinki about it, it’s just that he didn’t exactly know how to go about initiating it to him.
Pacing up and down the living room in the dorm, in front of the television set, Kibum gave everything a serious thought. He decided to do a mental checklist to help him settle things out in a more systematic way. In fact, everything on this list is checked. Well, almost.
I love Jinki. Checked.
Annoyed by Kibum’s walking, Jonghyun finally snapped. “Yah, Kim Kibum. What on earth are you doing! You’re making me giddy! Quit walking up and down. Just, I don’t know, sit down or something. Just stay still, will you?”
“Yah. Jonghyun.” Kibum whined.
“What?” Jonghyun said indifferently.
“I-I, remember that night I told you how I felt about Jinki hyung? I-I think I should talk to him about it. Like how he feels about me and stuff.”
“Then, what now? Just do it. Nobody’s stopping you.”
“YAH. Can’t you offer better advice? I know nobody’s stopping me, but it’s just. I don’t know how to start asking him.”
“Just tell him you love him and wait for his respond and you can see if he loves you back?”
“How’s that suppose to work!? What if he says no! I’ll be stuck in embarrassment my whole life and I’ll quit SHINee.”
“What! It worked for me! See how stable my relationship with Taemin is? Learn from us!” Jonghyun snickered (jokingly), which earned him a slap in his right arm when a still bothered Kibum walked away.

Kibum shut the room door only to find himself in a rather dark room with loud music playing. This room is supposedly shared by Jinki, Taemin and himself. But Taemin’s always off to find Jonghyun which makes it as good as a room for just Jinki and Kibum.
Kibum switched the lights on clumsily, only to realize that Jinki was napping under his thick lump of comforter. Kibum immediately switched the light off once again, afraid of waking Jinki up. He wondered how this boy could sleep with such loud music on. It wasn’t just loud. It was blasting loud.
It was then the thought of confessing finally struck him.
Maybe, he could just voice out how he felt to Jinki and that way, he’ll feel less distracted.
“Jinki hyung, you might not hear this but there’s been something that I’ve been itching to tell you. I don’t know how to put this across and I don’t want to ruin the friendship between us but it’s seriously killing me inside. I-I-I think I love you.” Kibum heaved a sigh of relief, till he actually got a respond which shocked the life out of him.
“Really? I love you too.” Jinki said as he stood at the bathroom door, in his white tee and his long pajamas pants decorated with hearts all over (Kibum bought it for him).
Kibum could have sworn he felt his heart leap out at that instant.
“YAH I THOUGHT YOU WERE SLEEPING.”
“It’s just my pillow underneath those comforters. I decided to take a bath and go back to sleep. And when I came out you were talking to yourself?”
Kibum blushed and turned to the door to attempt to run out of the room, to escape from this major embarrassment. But before he made it out, Jinki was pushing him against the door, pushing his lips against Kibum’s. The fresh scent of mint that Kibum felt from Jinki’s breath made his head swirl. Between every kiss, Jinki uttered the same words that made Kibum’s heart beat faster and faster ‘I love you, Kim Kibum’.
Skeptical about how he felt earlier on (and for all his uncalled for worries), Kibum realized that this wasn’t that difficult after all.
Jinki loves me too. Checked.

A/N: Hello! It's been a while, hasn't it? Well, I miss writing. But somehow, writing still isn't quite my thing? Ugh, I don't like this piece at all but perhaps it serves as a kick start for me to write again (; it's been a long while since I wrote fluff O: tell me what you think about this horrible piece and if you dislike it as much as I do, I will delete it lol.
