Hello, recently I have been accepted for a film program in Prague, Czech Republic for this summer. The program is through University of Texas at Austin and the Film Academy in Prague. The program page is available at: http://www.utexas.edu/student/abroad/pdf/prague.pdf
I am 19 years old and a junior at the University of Texas at El Paso. The dean of Theatre, Dance, and Film (Dr. Joel Murray) stated that I was the first student from our department to embark on courses such as this. It is a rare opportunity because only 15 students are accepted into the Digital Documentary course.
I am urgent need of help raising the tuition of the program which includes tuition, books, film equipment, housing, etc... The budget for the program is $8,600. I was accepted after the scholarship deadlines and thus have only a month to raise the funds needed. The deadline for the money is May 16th, which leaves us with limited time.
I will be selling sponsorship units of $5.00 each. Anything you can give though will be helpful. Every sponsor will receive a link to my blog to see the financial progress being achieved and what ever is filmed abroad. Once abroad, the blog will include pictures along with frequent updates.
