It is so hard to judge the beliefs of such people, those whose beliefs have benefitted their own lives so much and push on to spread their so-called enlightenment to others in hopes it'll serve to their benefits. I'm not sure if you were aware or not, but when I was in school in New York my intended major was religious studies, mainly for two reasons. Number one: I enjoy the sociology of religion. It has played such a big part in the shaping of modern life, something that I think many people overlook. Number two: Faith fascinates me; I can't comprehend how someone is able to decide they have *the truth*, that they know life's meaning. There is so much more I could say about that (as you did in your entry) but I do not have the energy. I think I'll try to write a post about it, it's a very engaging subject.
