Steampunk wedding

We went to a friend's steampunk-themed wedding last weekend. It was exactly the sort of uber-geek wedding that was most appropriate for these particular friends. The majority of the guests dressed up in steampunk garb, most notably the bride (which makes sense as she's in charge of a regional steampunk convention). Only a hundred or so, but they weren't the best in the world. The coffeehouse in Greenlake was a bit dim.

my dad was adorable in that marine engineers costume. As for the wedding bit, I think once all the dishes were cleaned up at the house I am coping a bit better. It's funny but other than that my feelings were pretty chill since T was doing better with it all. I am a bit nervous about how it will all work out and spent a bit too much time talking down marriage that day but that was probably more because I wasn't having a great marriage weekend on my own front than the pairing of the bride and groom. It all seems much better this week now that other totally unrelated stresses are being resolved. And your children were darling in their costumes.
