It's been a while since I posted to LJ other than to comment or do a quick tea-community entry. I guess my time and energy (and health) has been sapped enough by stress that I've retreated a bit into myself. So in an effort to catch up:

This journal entry is going to sound obnoxiously whiny to just about anyone I can think of, so I'm doing a cut to spare the casual journal reader. Even looking at it to myself I'm a little incredulous at myself in light of the hardships facing everyone I know. Still, I have to get it out, so into the LJ it goes.

I've had a difficult time in the last 24 hours finding the "glass half-full" viewpoint. As cynical as I often am it's always built on a foundation of optimism, but yesterday's misadventures put that to the test.
