[Lightning can be found leaning against a tree, her face expressionless while she plays with a decorative dagger. Not much is going through her head right now as she only sought the area out for some quiet time.]

[He'd been sitting in a neighboring tree for a bit. He hadn't opened his eyes, but he could tell someone was there just by her scent. She'd been there for a good while too. Not that he was doing anything, but the silence of two people in the same vicinity made him a bit uneasy.]

... just how long are you going to stand around playing with that thing?

[She jumped slightly and placed her hand on the hilt of her weapon while pocketing the dagger and scanned the area for whoever had spoken. Odd for someone to get the jump on her and while she didn't want to react too rashly, someone who had managed to slip by undetected should be taken with caution.]

Depends. How long have you been sitting there?

[Oh, the tree. Well she couldn't make him out too well all the way up there.]

[He could hear her movements. Not that he was surprised she didn't notice him. Not like he was a quirky sleeper.]

I've been up here a while you know. Before you came anyway...

I see. I didn't notice you.

[Hm. If he wanted to attempt something he likely would have done so before startling her, especially if he had been there that long, so slowly she released her grip on the hilt. Even if for some reason he did try anything, she trusted her reflexes.]

No point in me staying here with someone else, then. I'll leave you be.

[Quiet time was no longer quiet time, so she turned to leave. Such a shame, it was a nice spot, too.]
