i just overheard my mom saying she's going outside to cut down the bamboo.

while this is a tradition in our family, it just dawned on me that it's probably pretty unusual.

i mean seriously, how many people have bamboo growing in their yard in large amounts? i'm talking tall trees of bamboo. bamboo period.

Yes. Its pretty unusual. I didn't even know bamboo grew in Michigan, let alone, this part of Michigan.

We have like no plant life in our yard, not even a tree. We have flowers though, but not right now obviously, its too cold.
