wedding planning sort of sucks and it's been a hassle deciding where we want to have our wedding. So far we have 3 places in mind.

NOMA! it would be beautiful but it's sort of expensive. actually, it's expensive.

My friend Sarah comes from a family of food freaks and her aunt (who used to work at Cafe Nola) owns a place in Metarie called Anna Banana catering. I'm not sure if it's re-opened after the storm yet (I do know that Gabrielle, the restaurant that her other Aunt & Uncle own, still isn't re-opened) but they are quite delicious, and I don't imagine that they're terribly expensive, either.

Of course, expense is relative and if it isn't re-opened, I'm sure there are plenty of excellent catering places around town, but I would recommend at least looking into it!

Heather and I went to a wedding at the Audubon Tea Room in March of '06 I think, and it was very nice. It was a day time wedding. And I disagree about the food. I thought it was really good.
