The Big Sleep Strikes Back
I got a call this morning:
Caller: Hi. This is __________ from Dr. ____'s office at the Mercy Sleep Center. The doctor was able to review your sleep study results, and he'd like to get you started on treatment for Sleep Apnea as soon as possible. Do what that is?
Me (inner monologue): No, lady. I have no idea what that is. I just thought it would be fun to PAY to be all wired up and not sleep...
Me: Uh-huh
Caller: So we need to have you come in for a no-charge appointment to get fitted for the mask for a CPAP machine.
Me: OK
Caller: How about Thursday at 3:30?
Me: OK
Caller: And then you can pick up the machine at whatever medical supply place you choose right after the appointment.
Me: OK Bye.
So apparently, after reviewing the hour of sleep I got that night, the Doctor was able to determine that I have sever enough problems to start me immediately, rather than in October when I have the follow-up appointment. This will be fun...
