anniversary poem in progress

So my boy and I are about to celebrate our one year anniversary at the end of this month. I started to work on a poem to give him. It is a free flowing haiku. I have never written in haiku before. I would appreciate any form feedback or just what you think.



Changing leaves remind,
My soul is happy, in love;
I followed my heart.

Meeting each other,
Fun times working on projects,
Relationship starts.

Intense connections;
Creatively making love,
Cold outside, hot love in bed.

Goosebumps from your touch,
Tingling lips from your kiss,
Comfort in your arms.

Ambition, dreams, goals;
Achieving success together,
Creating future.

Lifelong adventures,
Responsibilities shared,
Committed to you.

Faith in each other;
Love’s ultimate expression,
Creating new life.

Together one year,
My dearest love and best friend,
Forever my love.
