This is a writing by humorist Dave Barry regarding college that I had to read for class. It's pretty funny and holds to be very true in my opinion. It reminds me of the pure logic of a child. Sometimes, they see things more clearly than adults. However, Dave Barry is not a child.

i'm slightly offended that the arts aren't even mentioned in here.
it makes my major seem unimportant.

Well maybe he's saying that the Arts are not too flawed and have a subjective meaning. That's what I believe at least; cannot be judged on the same scale.

See..it's so OUT THERE in comparison to specific defined material that must be "learned"/"taught" in order to become a master of a "science" ya know? Arts v. Science typically tap two different components. Granted skills are borrowed from each.
