My Twinkle Journey set came yesterday! Delivery success. ^_^  My package came safely sent in the typical "pink plastic Meta shopping bag within another pink Meta plastic shopping bag" fashion with the contents wrapped in white tissued paper closed by tape and a Metamorphose sticker.

My friend got the twinkle journey skirt and was REALLY dissatisfied with the fabric... she felt the lace at the bottom was crappy too...and not the "tulle" described in the listing, though i'm not sure if the skirt is the same as the JSK.

meta headdresses are RIDICULOUS. for swan lake i cut the ribbon off of mine and glued it onto a headband.... that made it easier to stay on, and then i flattened the wire and made it not so monstrous...i'd maybe try doing that if you don't mind altering it!

i can't wait to see you wear it!

Yeah, the fabric itself isn't all that. I can understand where your friend is coming from because I kind of feel that way too. It just doesn't feel as luxurious - especially when you pay $$$ for a dress.

I'm not sure about the skirt, but the JSK doesn't have tulle either. The bottom trim is chiffon I think and it does look kind of funky at first glance. But on the shirred JSK, there are other chiffon accents (on the neck strap, bodice bow, and waist straps) so the chiffon is tied in a little better so it doesn't look totally random.

Yeah, I don't think I can salvage the headbow... it's so damn huge! Otherwise I wouldn't hesitate to alter it. I think I'll try to find similar navy chiffon to make a different head accessory that isn't so ginormous.
