1. Crop and sharpen your image.

2. If your image is dark, you may have to duplicate it and set the duplicated layer to Screen and adjust the opacity. Since mine is light enough, I skipped this step.

3. Make a new hue/saturation layer with the following settings:
Master: 0 +17 0
This will make the colors in the icon more intense.

4. Make a new color fill layer with #DC7E53. Set this layer to Soft Light 100% opacity.]This will add a yellowish/pinkish tint to the image.

5. Make a new selective color layer with the following settings:
Reds: +29 +71 +45 -33
Yellows: +63 -5 +78 +46
Whites: -58 -88 +37 -93
Neutrals: +24 +11 -3 +2
Blacks: 0 0 0 +12
This adds more contrast and reds to the image.

6. Make a new color fill layer with #3D3D3D. Set this to Exclusion 65% opacity. This will make the image more dull.

7. Duplicate your base, drag it all the way to the top in the layers palette and set it to Soft Light 88% opacity. This will get rid of the washed out look that was added in the previous step.

8. Lastly, take this texture by ?? paste it into your image twice. Set these two layers to Screen, the first one at 100% opacity, the second at 60%.

This tutorial is very similar to the one above, with just a few changes.

1. Crop and sharpen your image.

2. Duplicate your base and set it to Screen. Adjust the opacity until you get something you like. I left mine at 56%.

Reds: -18 +55 0 -33
Yellows: +67 -5 -24 +46
Whites: -23 -31 +37 -47
Neutrals: +18 +11 -3 +2
Blacks: 0 0 0 +12
This adds more contrast and reds/magentas to the image.

8. Lastly, take this texture by ?? and paste it into your image. Set it to Screen 100% opacity.
