Dream a little bigger: Inception review
Just came back from seeing Inception. Just want to say a couple of things...
Oh my f-ing BBQ Inception! That was AMAZING, GREAT, BEYOND ANY WORDS AND SO ON!
Ok, now for the calm review of the movie.
Truthfully speaking this movie made things so crammed in my head that I still don’t know if I can write down everything that is in my head. The idea of the movie itself was incredible; no wonder it took Christopher Nolan ten years to develop it. Visually it was great, my favourite part being the architecture of the dreams and the ruin city was just incredible/beautiful.
But moving on to the important part; THE CHARACTRERS AND THEIR HOTNESS, AND THEIR ACTING! OMG, they all looked amazingly HOT and beautiful. Let’s take them in order shall we?
Leo DiCaprio - For god’s sake he is Leonardo DiCaprio, he never ages. He still looked the same way he did ten years ago when everyone had his picture glued on their school lockers’. He might not be my favourite actor ever, but even I have to admit that when Titanic came out and even after I had a gigantic crush on him. I still think he is pretty good looking and he is a good actor.
JGL - Ok, up until this movie he always looked like a kid to me. He never appealed to me that much and I only thought he was pretty cute. But man with the hair all gelled back and his voice he looked HOT, to me in this movie he looked like a man, not like a kid and not like a boy.
Cillian Murphy- I have nothing else to say except that he looked INCREDIBLY HOT! AND OH MY GOSH THOSE EYES! THOSE EYES! AND HIM IN A SUIT! AND CRYING! OH, SO MUCH HOTNES!!
Ellen Page - Ellen Page is pretty. I might not like her that much but she is a good actress and like I said she is pretty. The only thing that I can say that bothered me about her character is that she was a bit nosy. It annoyed me when she went into Dom’s dreams, I thought it was a bit too much, especially when it looked like at the beginning she was jealous of his wife, but I started shipping her with Arthur so we’re all good.
Marion Cotillard - Marion is really really really simply just beautiful and completely stunning. Her character was great and bad ass at the same time and she was actually relevant to the story which I loved! How does she always manages to get such good character, especially opposite such hot people (Johnny Depp, DDl and now Leonardo DiCaprio)
The end simply killed me. There is no other way to put it. The entire movie I was telling my friend “just you wait ‘till the end and you will see that his wife was actually right and that even the reality was a dream. I was kinda right wasn’t I? Damn stupid totem!!! I mean was the freaking thing going to keep spinning or fall? WHY CHRISTOPHER NOLAN? WHY WOULD YOU TORTURE US THIS WAY? WHAT HAVE WE EVER DONE TO YOU? I mean, imagine poor Cobb’s face if he kept looking the totem and the thing would keep on spinning! He would have most likely just taken a gun and shot himself right there and then. I swear, that when the totem kept on spinning and the screen turned to black everyone in the theatre started protesting and saying “Nooo...” I loved it when people are so dedicated!
So concluding, depending on which version you wanted to accept this movie had both a happy ending and a sad ending. If you want to think the totem stopped spinning then you got your happy ending in which he finally got his life and children back. If on the other hand you want to believe that the totem kept on spinning then the ending is sad because it means that Mal was right, the reality was a dream and she woke up in the real reality and is waiting for him to wake up and actually have a leap of fate and believe in her. Oh, movie, thank you for messing so much with my head!
Out of this movie I came out with three new things:
1) Inception became one of my all time movies
2) Marion Cottillard definitely and forever secured her place as my all time favourite actress
3) Christopher Nolan became one of my all time favourite director
Completely deserves a perfect 10!!!
