I didn't like either of the canidates
Much of what Obama stands for I hate (note: not all)
I think it is cool that we do have a black president, and that is very cool moment in history

If thousands of Christians have genuinely been praying for God's will to be done over these elections - maybe it has!

I think you'll find that the rest of the world is happier with this choice than otherwise.

Well, to be honest, making the rest of the world happy brings me no comfort. There is a reason the US is the greatest nation on the planet.

Obama is pro abortion (even partial birth abortion), pro homosexual marriage, against gun rights, anti-war, and has plans to make us a socialist system. No offense, but one of the reasons America is great is b/c we have a free-market system. Certainly we have ups and downs, but again, there is a reason America is one of the most prosperous nations in the world.

I know we but heads on this, but I think the more the government tells us how to spend our money, the less freedom we have.

If you truly believe that God has a plan for all of us, and that he is all powerful, then I doubt the election went against His plan. Because let`s be honest, the issues you mentioned, abortion, homosexual marriage, gun rights, war, and higher taxes on those who make more than $250,000 a year has nothing to do with the teachings of Jesus Christ. Jesus never wanted his followers to control governments. Jesus didn`t care a lick about politics, it was all about the individual. Give unto Caesar what is Caesar`s, but love God and your neighbor. I have never been comfortable with how entwined religion and politics have become. Christianity and most other religions is about an individual person`s quest for spiritual enlightenment, and in the case of Christianity, a deeper relationship and understand with God, through the teachings of his son Jesus and the embodiment of the Holy Spirit within his followers on earth.
