I have to kick ass in classes next semester. I has my one slack semester, and it can't happen again. With art classes that shouldn't be a problem, but I haven't figured out what to tell the parents yet

Maybe you could like, relate everything to one another? Say something like "Mom, I want to go to Egypt so bad that I got bad grades this semester, had to get counseling and anti-depressants, and out of desparation over wanting to go to Egypt, I declared another major. So I have to go to Egypt otherwise who knows what will happen if I don't?"

Eh...well, if that doesn't work, I'm sure you'll think of something brilliant. Have a great couple of weeks and I'll talk to you after I get home! :)
