I'm confused that it's some sort of accomplishment to outlive your parents...isn't that how it usually goes??

Many people may fear that they will suffer the same thing that happened to their parents at a certain (usually young) age. OP's father may have suddenly died at age 45 of a heart attack and a lot of the time this runs in families. Understandably sie would want to celebrate not falling to a possible hereditary roadblock.

Died at 40 of cancer, I spent my whole life thinking I was going to live to 40. Logans run was one of my favorite movies, why did you ask?

Maybe he means living to a year past the age his father did?

wow I love the idea!! I would be careful about that though from the perspective of 1 tattoo a year will add up if you live to 90 or something like that... how about 1 every year for 10 years and then one every other or every 5 after that.

thats true 9I got 3 of mine less than six months apart but think of one a year from 40-90? depending on size... you'd be running out of room! :-P

allah_sulu made it for me. I'm a huge fan of both southpark and heavy metal.

I spent that whole episode crying from laughter. I still have it on my tivo.
