Singingnettle had an interesting time down in LA. Her train getting in was nine hours late, arriving at 5 am. Yep, Amtrak sometimes does that. :P She visited with an old friend for a day and a half, and then departed today (Sunday) at 2:30 pm ( Read more... )

I forgot to ask... Is there a train number I need to look for when I go to pick her up in Orlando?
I'll have my laptop with me and I guess I could check with Amtrack online before I go out to the station.

The nuumber of the train is to beeeEEEeee ... 2. Not 37, nor 42, and 53 is right straight out.

(Too much Monty... Too much Python...)

OK, in all seriousness, you can call 1-800-USA-RAIL, and speak with the computer called Julie, and get the status of the train.
