Right.
Erm-
First post on LJ. Ever.
First of all, this journal is intended mainly for all things HG/SS related.
To avoid deceiving anybody later, I'll state here and now that don't think I'll be a very active member of the community: my English is not good enough, and it takes me a lot to write a sentence that makes sense; besides, RL is quite hectic

To think that I was in awe and did not dare to post a simple review, while you all, whose skills and dedication I've been admiring from a distance for months, are so friendly in spite of my admitted shortcomings!
Thank you so very much, Shug! I hope you won't mind if I friend you?

BTW, I enjoyed your mythological ficlet from last Exchange: the myth (or its child-oriented version) was one of my preferred tales in a book I owned as a little child [sniffles nostalgically]
Thank you so much!

You know, the bonus in lurking is that when you "come out", so to speak, you have to cope with all you have already - coughs - sneaked about your new acquaintances. All that transpires through their fics and comments, all the times you so much wanted to jump in an interesting topic and scream "what she/he says!", the little RL details you unwillingly picked up about them ( ... )

(And should you want to try your hand at drabbling on gs100, you'll find that a very rewarding experience. You say you can't write, but you won't be the first to be sucked in...)
And please DO call me "Dicky"! I'm very proud of my nickname and the way I've been accepted here.

My English isn't all that great either, and it's really the only language I actually speak (and certainly the only one I actually write!), so never let that stop you!
Welcome to LJ and more specifically to the place where everybody loves SSHG. Morethansirius sent me--hope you don't mind being friended by the friend of a friend.

*Confessions ahead*
I managed to open a brand new Gmail account (something I promised I'd never do)
-> screw it up once
-> fight with Google support
-> try it over and over until
-> finally succeeded and could subscribe OWL (whom, being a net-abuse fighter myself, I cannot blame for their strict policies vs. Yahoo)
and all of that Just Because of Your oh-so-fine "The Spirit That Remembers".
I'll post a review over there ASAP - provided that I won't screw things up once more!
