I was polite but angry. And when Toby said it was a customer services problem, I said well you guys can play the Blame Game as much as you want, but it's MY money we're talking about here!
If that e-mail doesn't work--and it bloody well SHOULD--I'd stop trying to call them and start leaving similar e-mails every couple of days. That puts the problem in writing, which elevates it above a phone problem AND tosses the responsibility back at them. You can also send the same message to customer service and to insurance simultaneously.
I tried this with my own cell phone. It took two detailed e-mails, the last one sent on Tuesday. Yesterday I got a call from a person. The whole problem--one of codes preventing me from getting monthly minutes and which I could not have solved on my end, both because I can't reprogram the codes on my phone and because Safelink Wireless has the worst automated phone system on the planet--was taken care of in five minutes.
I need a "SCIENCE!" icon. Maybe with Dr. Insano's picture.

Orange is a good one to threaten, because they are renowned within the industry for their customer service.
I'd like to stay with O2, as my godson's mum is an assistant branch manager and she helps with stuff like this. She's been away though. I spoke to her yesterday and she offered to help me with it and I said let's first see if they answer my email....
