hey babe! yeah, this college stuff is definitely very stressful, but fun! i actually am applying early decision to bates college, so it would be so great to get in and be done with it in december. but we will see! anyway, thanks for all your support, i really appreciate it. do you have any general pointers or tips for me? any advice would help, really. i haven't written my essay yet, so i should probably do that sometime soon. i don't really know what to write about, though. any ideas?
hey girl! ok so about the essay, make it as PERSONAL as you can. i started mine with a quote from a childhood book that meant something to me and then i actually wound up ending with the same quote and it was all personal and honest. they love that. MAKE AN ACTIVITY CHART! They have samples of them in guidance..it was so amazing taking everything you've done in four years and putting it on paper. definitely spend some time in guidance checking them out and you can just copy other people's exact formats. it hi-lights your interests and activities well beyond the little space they give you for extracurriculars. i think those are really the only general tips and pointers. do you have a topic for your essay or is it free choice? if you need help, just let me know! ahh this is so exciting for all of you guys!! miss you girl
hey, thanks! yeah, the essay can be free choice which is wicked cool cause i hate having to follow guidelines. yet at the same time, it's really hard without any boundaries. gah, so many options. but i think i might write about an experience with Pentucket Project Peace because i've been involved with that since freshman year and it's kind of a unique experience, so maybe they'll like that. we will have to see! but i miss you too! how's college? are you warming up to it a little bit?
