What was supposed to be a near three day weekend ended up being only about one and a half days, but I had an absolute blast. I had keys to the cabin, gear enough for a week rather than a weekend, my two cameras, and left my sanity behind ( Read more... )

Beautiful shots. Seriously, they make me miss CO sooo much. Pretty sure I've been out on Lake Granby (I have photos somewhere with a very similar backdrop).

(I have a DSLR for sale if you want to really be broke)

Wow. These are so gorgeous. They make me wanna move to Colorado, big time. My boyfriend and I have been discussing relocating there eventually, and these photos really convinced me that we need to do that. Also you have a good eye for a shot!

Gah! I am so, so indescribably jealous. Colorado is on my bucket list and these photos make me drool. This is scenery I would die to SEE let alone photograph. I was supposed to go out this summer (Aaron is a ranger at Rocky Mountain National Forest), but couldn't get the days off. Now I'm totally kicking myself. WOW.

Well if I find a place out here after graduation you're more than welcome to crash with me anytime! :D Or before, though RMNP doesn't fully open again until June (darn the snow on the pass!).

The best time to go is from May-Early July or Mid September-October.

I wish I was out there more often, because it's not even an hour from me! I need to find another day to go up and see if I can get better shots of the Elk before December. Having an annual pass definitely helps this! :)
