(no subject)
Wasting time with a survey before my train leaves. Holy cow, do I have a lot of crap to bring back with me. It was a good visit, but I'm really ready to go back to DC. Ready to start my new life, as cheezy/weird as that sounds.
1. Will you be looking for a new job?
No, for the first time in about 10 months.
2. Will you be looking for a new relationship?
I'll have my eyes open.
3. New house?
Yes, new apartment in May (in DC proper). Jesus, new everything in 2009 apparently.
4. What will you do differently in 09?
Make money?!?! Also, be nicer to my body and take better care of myself. And see my friends more often. And keep in better touch with friends.
6. What will you not be doing in 09?
Looking for a job? Oh wait, I already said that.
7. Any trips planned?
Definitely coming back to MI for the 4th of July, other than that probably just trips back home.
8. Wedding plans?
None of my own wedding plans, but possibly coming back for Tall Matt and Laura's weddings.
9. What's on your calendar?
Don't have one.
10. What can't you wait for?
My first paycheck. And the next meeting of my book club.
11. What would you like to see happen differently?
I want to handle my alcohol tolerance a little better in the new year...
12. What about yourself will you be changing?
I want to revert back to a more creative/artistic version of myself. Also, I'll be working on communicating in a more intelligent/professional manner.
13. What happened in 08 that you didn't think would ever happen?
Lots of stuff. Much of it not lj-appropriate.
14. Will you be nicer to the people you care about?
Well, possibly not significantly nicer (I think I'm already pretty nice to them... or at least I try) but I hope to be in contact more with the peop
15. Will you dress differently this year than you did in 08?
Yeah, I'll be in business attire prettymuch for the entirety of 2009.
16. Will you start or quit drinking?
No, but I hope to be a little more moderate. Not that much more, but a little.
17. Will you better your relationship with your family?
It's pretty good right now, but I think it will only continue to get better.
18. Will you do charity work?
Yes. I can volunteer more that I will have
19. Will you go to bars?
Um, yes. That shouldn't surprise anyone.
20. Will you be nice to people you don't know?
I second Esther's response on this one, "what kind of a question is that?" Who is nice to people they don't know, really?
21. Do you expect 09 to be a good year for you?
I expect it to be way more awesome than 2008.
22. How much did you change from this time last year til now?
I think I've grown up a bit. I've become a bit more realistic.
23. Do you plan on having a child?
Not this year, or anytime soon.
24. Will you still be friends with the same people you are friends with now?
Hopefully! Again, what kind of a question is that? But I'm sure there will be new friends as well.
25. Major lifestyle changes?
Working 9-5! And not living in poverty! And having vacation time!
26. Will you be moving?
In May, Johanna and I (and Panda and Clyde!) are moving into the District. I mentioned that already.
27. What will you make sure doesn't happen in 09 that happened in 08?
No hooking up with my friends in 2009 ; )
28. What are your New Years Eve plans?
Hitting bars in DC with Kim, Johanna, and probably Carly.
29. Will you have someone to kiss at midnight?
Johanna! And knowing me, (makeout bandit that I am) probably someone else too.

A more clear and unburdened mind/soul.
