"Thank you for talking to us Mr. Wolfe. This shouldn't take long." Horatio said, sitting next to the hospital bed. "Can you tell us what happened? Anything at all."

"Yeah, yeah I'll try." Ryan said.

"Take your time."

"We were going south...

"You know you're not supposed to cuss at work." Ryan whispered.

"I know. But we weren't at work, we were outside." Lee smiled, glancing at Ryan. "Besides, it's not like anyone heard."

"That's really, really not the point and you know it. You could get suspended, or even fired. So why do you keep doing it?" Ryan asked, not even trying to whisper anymore.

"Maybe he just likes getting into trouble." Derk sneered from the back seat.

"I don't like getting into trouble. It's just a habit." Lee gave a pointed glance at the rear view mirror.

"We talked for while longer without any interuptions from the back. Jake and Tray got cut off from us as we were turning. We radioed them, Tray said they were right behind us and that they would catch up. They were back behind us about two minutes later."

"Did you see what or who cut them off? Calleigh asked form behind Horatio.

"No, sorry. I was looking back at them."

"Why did you look back at them?" She asked.

"I." Ryan was confused for minute. "I heard a car honk. I think. I'm not really sure though." Ryan said finaly.

"That's okay, Mr. Wolfe. What else do you remember?" Horatio asked.

"The Jeep."

"What Jeep?" Horatio asked.

"The one that came out of nowhere. The one we hit." Ryan muttered, his head starting to spin.

"Mr. Wolfe?"

"I'm fine."

"Are you sure? We could come back later."

"I'm sure. It's best to get it done all in one go."

"Ok. What do you remember about the Jeep? And what do you remember before you hit it?"

"They had just caught up with us."

"There they are." Ryan told Lee while picking up the radio. "Hey guys, nice of you to join us." Ryan said.

"What was that guy's problem? He was there and gone in like a second." Tray replied.

"Did you get a plate number?" Ryan asked.

"No. It happened to fast." Tray answered back.

"You two okay?"

"Just fine. He only made us miss the light. No damage done."

"Ok. Good to know."

"How long?" Derk growled.

"About half an hour." Lee said.

"The Jeep was a Cherokee. Black or navy. And it was really old. I'm sorry, I don't remember anything else. Everything else is just fuzzy."

"That was good Mr. Wolfe. We'll let you get some rest." Horatio got up and signaled Calleigh to follow. He turned at the door. "If you remember anything else, just call. Good afternoon." And with that they were both gone.

"Hey baby. How are you feeling?" Eric asked walking into the room.

"I'm fine. I should be getting out of here tomorrow if everything looks good. Calleigh and Horatio just left." Ryan smiled.

"That's good. I saw them in the hall on the way in." Eric hesitantly moved toward the bed.

"I won't break if you kiss me." Ryan said.

"Will you give up patrol?" Eric asked.

"No."

"Will you take a desk job?"

"When I have to."

"Ryan."

"Eric." He sighed. "This wasn't supposed to be dangerous. It was an accident. A fluke. I'm not going to give up my job. But I can promise you that I'll go out of my way to avoid anything like this in the future."

"You have to promise to be safe." Eric said, sitting next to him.

"I promise." Ryan kissed him. "I'm not doing anything dirty in this bed Eric, so you just move your hand right now."
