Yay humans! We rule!

... OK, no we don't.

So, there's a lot in the news about this BP thing. Maybe you've heard about it?

Everyone has an opinion.

Love this post. Lots to think about...

In the long term I agree that it won't really matter, the earth will win and some form of life will most likely continue even if it has to start over pretty small.

I duno though, I do think humans have the ability to bring on that change and it is a possibility for the future of the human race. I think that's kinda the fucked up part of it. Yes all kinds of animals become extinct eventually due to earth changes, but for humans to be the cause of it is where it gets pretty fucked up. Life seems to be a fairly rare occurrence and miraculous I think (I love math, but biology science life big bang stuff just confounds and amazes me lol) so for our species to eradicate others is awful to think about.

Yea, we are totally gonna get flicked off one way or the other. It's just fucked up that we will probably take a lot of other species with us in the process.

Know that isn't exactly the topic of your post, but it made my brain wander into all sorts of stuff.

Thanks for sharing :)

I think any time there is a cataclysmic shift in how the earth works, a buttload of species are gonna go along with it, and there will be a few that will keep on and mutate into whatever's gonna be next.

It's kinda an academic exercise, 'cos I don't know that it will be in the next 50 or 200 years, even - to us, that's a ridiculously long time.

To Mom? It's less than the blink of an eye.
