I admit, there are times when I get a little... um. Overwhelmed by the sheer Mary Sue-ness of Aerith's character. But. Um. It's hard to entirely hate someone who actively encourages Cloud to be put in a dress. (I'm only sad that the DVDs can't show you that there are options to get other stuff for Cloud, too. A tiara or even sexy lingerie. I think they also cut out the Wutai Side-quest, which means I'm going to have to eventually play the game to see that. And to get the other "dates" possible. >__>a Still, DVDs > playing the whole game myself.)

But! I AM SO GLAD THAT YOU'RE ENJOYING THE GAME. I WAS SERIOUSLY TEMPTED TO SEND YOU FINAL FANTASY 8 AS WELL BECAUSE, OMG, I LOVE THAT GAME. IN AN ENTIRELY DIFFERENT WAY THAN FFVII, BUT STILL SO MUCH LOVE. AND ARE THE FFVII SPRITES NOT THE CUTEST? IT'S TOTALLY LIKE WATCHING LITTLE LEGO VERSIONS PLAY THE GAME OUT. ♥

Lingerie!! That's it EXACTLY. It's hard to dislike Aeris when she does the exact same thing to Cloud that I would do to my friends, the exact same thing that I would do to him if I were in the game. I can't dislike a Mary Sue who's that much fun.

I AM, I AM. So many little things make sense now. I like everyone, especially the minor characters so much more than I thought I would. Sometimes, it's kind of hard watching, because I've been spoiled for so much of the game by scripts and fic and people, and I just know that the scene where Zack dies is going to kill me, even with the lego animation. They're so adorable. The way they look and the way they move kind of reminds me of lemmings. Remember that game? I used to love setting up interesting ways for them to die. Psst! chibirisuchan is doing a drabble meme, except that they're actually short and not-so-short fics, and they're so sakjfkjasdkj-inducing. Quite a few of them are going to be FFVII fics, two are already up: Cloud, Aeris, Zack, and after Cloud's allowed to die for the ( ... )

Aerith is a wicked little thing, and I love her.

Also, the script for that section is hysterical, because if one of the girls get chosen they do the whole shy run-around on Corneo, but Cloud is all "uh, kiss you? ... ok, sure."

It's even better when you get to the date. I mean, really, you have to wonder what they got up to in those barraks, that Cloud is so comfortable with running around kissing guys...

Isn't she? You have to love someone who's that enthusiastic about putting a guy into a dress. If Aeris were in fandom, she'd probably be a yaoi fangirl. The fun kind.

Really? Where can one find these scripts? I'm slowly making my way through the dvds. The animation is adorable. For some reason, they all remind me of lemmings.

♥ Now that you mention it, I do have to wonder about it. I will be pleased to wonder about it. *grins* By the way, do your dvds have sound? Mine don't, but to be honest, with all the horrible things I've heard about the US dub, I think it's a good thing. Apparently, someone from N'Sync voices Sephiroth, which makes me shudder.

Scritps and also some translations from the Japanese script are here: http://www.ff7citadel.com/gameinfo/index.shtml

No voices, just music on mine. I thought that was how the US release was. All the dub things I've heard have been about Advent Children, for the theatrical release.
