I think it's just that between 16 to 18 is the "teen to young adult" phase. It seems worse than what it is. There's a gap of maturity. But I'd say my girlfriend is pretty mature (that and I'm childish), so I think it works out.

Considering 16 is the age of consent here in America and all, I don't see how in the world you being 18 and her being 16 makes you a pedophile. I think that, honestly, age doesn't matter. It's about how mature you are and how much you can handle.

Exactly. Well. In America it goes by states. Some places the age of consent is 18. Even so I think that as long as there's no more than a two year difference...it's okay? I'm not sure how the law works, I know here it's 18, and in England it's 16. >: So wtf, right? I think it's fine.
