I believe one day people will come to except homosexuals (I think that's what you're referring to). Just as we've come to accept African Americans, and other races as people. It took a long, hard fight, and so I don't expect this to change over night, either. We've come a long was from when I was born, though.
Just keep fighting for what you believe. Don't listen to what other people say. 'cause one day they'll have to accept you too.
Oh, and, I think, if it feels like things are progressing backwards, it's because this has become such a big deal, and so many are opening up. That those people against it are going to start coming out and taking action.
But I feel it's more a sign that things are moving forward. Because more Homosexuals are coming out to stand up for their rights, that it's only a matter of time before things begin to change for the better.
I suppose. I just feel horrible for the people who are older, who never got to have those rights and never will. I feel horrible for the people that had to cancel their wedding plans. I feel bad for the older generation of gays and lesbians. I know that the younger generations are becoming way more open minded, and that we will see gays and lesbians get their rights.
It's just unfair for the older generations getting a taste and then getting them taken away. In that sense, it feels like a step backwards to me.
Well, it's a part of getting old, I guess.. There will always be things that the older generation will work hard to achieve but only newer generations will be there to see. But it's those people that work hard despite that so those younger generations can enjoy what they could not. It might sound unfair, I guess. But if there was no sacrifice from the older generations, then things would never get done. The younger generation would become the older generation, and then they'd stop working, too. Simply because they themselves would not be there to see the fruits of their labor. I think it's that older generation who have come to realize that they probably won't see homosexuals being widely accepted, but are content in knowing they can still help pave the way for those younger and similar to them.
