i got off the plane, went straight to aglai's place, sat around on her hammock for a while, then ate some of antonia's cooking. thats pretty much my top 2 reasons for coming to brazil. i'm done. the rest is just bonus. =] so... there was a nice bonus thunderstorm over corcovado last night, and we had a nice view of it from the balcony of the place ( Read more... )

a) *insulting hand gesture*

b) I want to play with chronos to see how it handles tweening 2d line-art animation. Say, I feed it a 12fps animation and see if it can come up with 24fps with any reasonable niceness. I'm guessing I'd have to finish the frames out fairly cleanly... but might be interesting

i've tried it. the results are ugly. theres visible flicker/warp effects all over the place.. the slight mushing of pixels isnt apparent when you're dealing with real-world photo source stuff, but its painful when theres crisp line art. try it anyway, they might have improved it since then, or maybe your art is different style and such from whatever i might have fed it, maybe it likes filled painted stuff a lot better than line art... maybe it likes furries better than robots. who knows.

maybe I can tweak my style to take advantage of the warping to achieve a stylistic effect!
