hahaha thats funny about your microwave and washing machine. one time my mom was vaccuming while i was practicing my horn and i found out that our vaccum cleans at a C on the french horn, meaning a F in concert pitch. we are music dorks :p

Haha, I've done that with random objects too. Like we were on the plane to or from Disneyland and I was sitting next to jlund3, and the assisant light ding went off. And we were trying to guess what the pitch was (because, really what else is there to entertain yourself with on a plane) so we turned to mike ravem who was sitting behind us. He has perfect pitch, composer and crazy good pianist and all. And I was right, an E; knew this because the first note of the saint saens cello concerto is like implanted into my brain. So horray! Ok done with rambling that furthers my music dork-ness.. ^^;

Kinda sad, that was our last S&E. But I certiantly don't mind having the day over with. :) Quartet got 1+ but 2nd alt, my solo got a 1-, quintet i think got a 1- as well. *plops onto bed and doesn't wake up till 6:30am monday morning*

hahhaha thats def. something mike would do. i love that he has perfect pitch. in brahms rehearsals, wenhao and i play random notes and make him tell us what we are playing. its so much fun.

Good job on your quartet! you guys sounded awesome on friday. even as a trio. its too bad that the string division is soo competitive. b/c you guys deserve to go. but in the same way, i also hate how there such a thing as "the best" quartet that deserves more than the others to go to state. meh. whatever! i wish i could have heard you guys. it was such a crazy day, the scheduling was all over the place.

I have a noisy house, what can I say. :D Its getting old and pipes need to be fixed actually..
