I mean...well Mayfield isn't a very good place to be in. So how do you wish someone to have a good day in a place like this?

Well, Mayfield's not so terrible when you've got friends with you. If you want to wish someone a good day, maybe you should try to spend a little time with them?

That's true. Spending time with people you're familiar with is always important to do. [At least that's what she learned.] I'm still nervous about wishing that on him, when this place is so bad.

What do I do then? I keep thinking about it, but I can't get anything. [Hanekawa never really had time for birthday parties, so she has no clue what to even do for him.]

[Scout's staring into a department store window. He has no idea what to get Vince. Scout is not well-versed in the giving of gifts to guys, especially guys who don't like sports. How he and Vince are friends is a mystery even to himself.

[She looks over at Scout when she sees him by one of the displays. He seems rather agitated about something. As a concerned citizen, Hanekawa doesn't feel like she can let him feel that way.]

[It should be mentioned that he's on crutches, as well. He turns to you. "Sir"?]

Yeah. Kinda. What the hell do ya get a guy fer his birthday in this town? Everythin' here sucks. Plus, he's a guy.

[She doesn't say anything about the crutches, since she doesn't want to be rude. Considering what she heard about Mayfield and all, it isn't too shocking that someone would get injured.]

A guy for his birthday? [Could he be talking about Vince? She won't voice that - there could be a bunch of people with a birthday on that day, so just assuming that wouldn't be right.] Do...you know what he likes?
