But, not a moment later, a voice begins to speak.]Christmas is one of the last holidays celebrated in America before New Years and the best is saved for last. [ I am on the best hiatus. Also, new information! You're so tl;dr, Hanekawa, but Taiwan will try to memorize it to make her sound smarter. ]

No matter what, you should celebrate Christmas with cake! [ She doesn't care about Christmas that much, but food. ] Your professor's name is America?

With cake? I never done that before, but it sounds like a good idea! [Writing down on her papers to get cake :|b] Oh yes. Well...he prefers a different name, but I think Professor America sounds a bit nicer.

It does make him sound intelligent! [ It's definitely not the America she knows, she thinks. America, smart? Hahaha... ]

So he's not really or professor or anything?

[oh taiwan, if only you knew.]

Not really, but I call him that out of respect. [He wanted her to call him Ace Hero America. Just...no.]

[it's normal for kids to walk around with their winter jackets slung over their shoulders, right? it's not as if he hates wearing one, but it's going to be something he'll have to get used to all over again; heavy clothing wasn't something he brought with him on Mt. Silver, and look how long it took him to accustom himself to that.

when he sees the pair sitting on the bench, he tilts his head and simply watches.]

[Tsubasa isn't turning around right now, too focused on feeding the cat. If Red listens close enough he can hear her whispering and cooing the cat gently, as she nurses the bottle of milk into his mouth. But she herself looks fairly cold.]

[Theta opens the door awkwardly and snarls a bit as she looks around for the carollers.]

Can't you sing about something other than the bloody snow?!

[It sounds like she's unnerved by the idea, but refusing to admit it.]

[Tsubasa stops when she hears Theta and peeks her head up.]

I apologize. I'm just trying to learn as much as I can about the holidays. Maybe I can sing something else?

The /holidays/ include New Year's Day, and I'd much rather hear a song about =that=.

[She shivers a bit, leaning heavily on her cane as she stands on the front porch. The little clues that she's hiding something by way of anger are all there and easily visible if one looks--the tension in her shoulders, in her cane hand, the way she holds onto her cane more than is necessary given that she's standing still on a flat surface, the way she shakes ever so slightly that isn't from cold; it's easy enough to tell that she's getting frightened.]

[She blinks and nods.]

Ah, give me a moment then.

[Searching through her song books until she finds one that doesn't seem to be Christmas themed. So she sings "No Place Like Home for the Holidays"]

[A jacket suddenly falls across Hanekawa's back as she's knelt down feeding the kitten.]

[Her head tilts to the side when she feels the jacket fall on her.]

Hachibe-san?
