Went to my sister's house today for a bbq. Brought my own soyburgers, which caused a few raised eyebrows, and much explanations, that no, I am not going vegetarian. I just don't want all the calories and fat from red meat ( Read more... )

OH god I know what you mean, I had that happen to me this weekend too...not the soyburger bit, but the potato salad and the broody baby rush.

LOL I think that most of the time too. But then there are these moments, usually at work, when one of them grabs my hand or something else equally adorable and I feel it tugging at my heartstrings a little. More of those moments happen the older I get, I've noticed.

That fact that everyone offers me their kids when I say I want one, means I probably don't really want one.

Hee hee!! Kids can be jackasses but it's so different when it's your own kid. I can tell my son that he's being a pain in the ass but if anyone else did, then I'd have to use my outdoor voice.
