i don't really get the re-pay back thing.... won't you have to pay back, no matter where you go?

i used to have a student loan myself. it's extremely stressful and demotivating working your ass off and knowing that a substantial amount of your income will have to go back to the government which will put you back into the student life style. mac and cheese and peanut butter jelly sandwiches included.

in that regards, i'm lucky. i don't make a lot of money, but i have zero debt, other than a rather big mortgage, but hey... that's part of life, isn't it...

i'm amazed at your poised attitude, for as far as your lj entries are a reflection of that. you take risks, you move around the states, you take control of your life. good for you.

btw.. what do you do for a living? i've meant to ask this many times....

I am a physician assistant ijumpedtheshark December 18 2004, 02:18:09 UTC
I work as a physician assistant, kinda like a doctor but not really. I practice medicine but I work under the supervision of someone else's license. The repayback thing involves the federal government so I owe time rather than money. I owe them two years of time, I still get paid. Finding the ideal place to repay that time is easier said than done. Fortunately I am blessed to have no obligations
