Dell makes me look like a fool

I looked like an idiot this afternoon. I have a brand new compaq laptop because my dell stopped booting up last week. I took the dell to the computer store to get a price quote and the thing started up for no reason at all. I like this new laptop but I would have waited to purchase it. hah, that reminds me of my discman. for the last year or so, it would still play alright, but you couldn't stop it. you had to turn it off... now all of a sudden, it's working fine again...

if you're planning to sell your old laptop, you'll only get more for it if it's in working condition [... duh]

i'd like to upgrade my ibook to an ibook g4 with a bigger screen [i now have a g3 with a 12 inch screen] but i can't possibly justify the purchase as this ibook has not once let me down.
