Very nice. Poor Remus, trying to educate a stir-crazy Sirius about Muggle castles.

And actually, I didn't realize the connection to the films, either, until I had already gone searching for images of wells and decided I like the looks of the Alnwick one best.

It is a beautiful well. And I'm glad it wasn't picked as a prompt for the connection with the films & that I wasn't the only one not to think of them first, makes me feel better.

I'm not so knowledgeable about the filming locations. I'm currently in Oxford, and I went with some friends on a tour of one of the other colleges. I wandered around taking photos of the architecture, completely oblivious to the fact that it was a shooting location for Harry Potter! I didn't know until later, when my friends informed me.

I have to say, I'm in the same boat with the filming locations. I haven't even seen all the films. (I have a crippling fear of snakes and I can't find anyone to watch with who'll tell me when to close my eyes.) But Oxford, nice one. I'd love to apply but I'm scared my French grade will let me down. I had no idea they'd filmed bits of Harry Potter there either though!

nice! really liked the contrast between the lupins and the blacks. i can just picture remus exploring a castle. it fits him somehow. lovely.

I think I'm just about through bitching you out for being a fandom traitor.

This is... I don't know. Before, I was always bitching about how your fics in other fandoms seemed better than your Long Island fic, but I don't like this one as much. So, I don't really like it, but that makes me happy.
It isn't bad or anything it just... lacks something. Maybe I'm just too used to angst from you. Yes, that's probably it.

La la la, I miss you. I probably won't get to talk to you for another 12 hours, and that's pretty upsetting. Straylight put up clips of some of their new tracks. One of them sounds... loudish. It caught me off guard at first, and made me feel a little bit like I was listening to Taking Back Sunday. And then I honestly spent around three minutes staring at the word "ton", trying to figure out what it said because oh, shit, American spelling.

You need the full summary of my day, Iris. Hah. <3

I'm glad you're about done calling me out for being a bad fan.

And I don't think it's just the angst thing that's different with this one. It's the linear narrative and the fact that it's not way too far into one of the characters' heads. I don't like it that much either but it is what it is and does what it does so I'm not unhappy with it.

Awww, Sheesh, can't you live without me? ♥ Anyway, I'm on MSN right now but you're not & I'm going to go sleep soon. Or, more accurately, I'm going to go to bed and read the book I started earlier and maybe some Richard Siken because "I’ll be your slaughterhouse, your killing floor, your morgue and final resting, walking around with this bullet inside me ‘cause I couldn’t make you love me and I’m tired of pulling your teeth." And I think that speaks for itself. Anyway, where are the clips at?
