Because you never know when Life will throw you lemons and demand you make it a kickass pitcher of lemonade, I'm looking for a co-mod to help me run this community. Ideally, two co-mods would be nice, however we'll see how much interest there is. As it's nearing September and a number of participants might have school coming up, I'll keep ( Read more... )

Hello, may I know what will a moderator be required to do, and does difference in timezones affect anything?

A moderator will have to run weeks, according to whatever schedule fits best for everyone (for example, if there are two mods, we'll most likely alternate weeks). Mods will make the submission, voting, and winners posts; they'll also have to make sure rules are followed (mostly this means making sure no one uses fanart, and that the icons submitted follow the guidelines and themes of the week). When creating submission posts, mods will have to come up with the themes, which for the image theme means being able to upload an image for the week. For all the posts in the community, I've created posting templates so it's basically copy and pasting the code and then filling in the blanks.

I generally don't set a specific time for deadlines, so timezones shouldn't affect anything too much, I think.
