Yuichi knows that they have a healthy relationship, but something tiny is bothering him about his boyfriend, Koki. The problem is he doesn’t know what it is. They date when they are off from work. They have been doing the normal stuffs that lovers do. But, still he feels something is missing, something that frustrates him so much because he doesn’t really know what is IT!
Sigh.
“Nakamaru?”
He turned to see a face beside him that surprised him and made him get off the couch he was sitting on. “Oi! Taguchi! Don’t scare me like that!”
The other just smiled at him like the usual. “So, what is wrong?” The person who entered the room asked.
“Eh? Something is wrong with him, Ueda?” Taguchi asked.
Both guys in the room just clicked their tongue, but they just can’t help it. They’ve known that Taguchi for years already. Yuichi and Ueda just sat sighed and dropped themselves in the couch. Taguchi didn’t seem curious about what is wrong, so he decided to go and get on with his techie-stuff-thing-whatever-you-may-call-it.
“So… still not talking about it?” Ueda asked with his head resting to look at the ceiling.
Yuichi just looked at him dumbfounded. “I told you, nothing is wrong. Nothing was.”
“Whatever you say. But anyway, I’ll be here if you need me.” Ueda said raising both of his hands as if surrendering about the issue.
Yuichi just silently sighed. He knows Ueda is just doing his best, but here’s the thing… he doesn’t really know what is upsetting him, though he was sure it was something about Koki. It’s like he hasn’t been seeing the way things were before, not the I-don’t-love-him-anymore way, but seriously, he can’t help of getting slightly insecure. Deep sigh.
Ueda just looked at Yuichi with concern. “Oh, don’t start with the something is wrong with me again part. I told you, nothing is…” He paused. “I don’t know, but it’s about Koki.” The other guy somehow had a triumphant look on his face because he’s never wrong. He knows when something is wrong especially to his best bud.
“What about him?” Ueda asked with a smirk.
“Okay. What are you thinking just now? But whatever that green thing going on in your mind, it definitely isn’t. And FYI, we totally have healthy relationship.” Yuichi explained everything in a go because he was sure that whatever Ueda was about to say was definitely not the thing he is bothered about. Yes, he totally isn’t sex-deprived. Definitely not.
Ueda suddenly changed to a face expecting a bad news or something. And Yuichi totally read what he is about to say again. “Oh, no. It’s not that I want to break up with him. I love him. Really. We are totally good. Nothing is wrong between us. We argue about some small stuff, but we always find a way to resolve about. But, I don’t know…” He didn’t know what to stay anymore again, so he chose the gesture that he’s been totally good at lately. Deep deep sigh.
“Okay, you are totally confusing me now. You say something is wrong when you have a healthy relationship and then nothing is really wrong because you’re good. Huh?” Ueda wanted to help the guy, but how can he, when he doesn’t really know what is wrong. Duh.
“That’s the thing… I really don’t know.”
Ueda just groaned. He totally doesn’t know what to say about the problem of his problem-free friend. “Okay. I’m telling you this as a friend. Why don’t you just stop being such a drama king and talk this over with Koki. K?” Yuichi just nodded to that, and told himself that he’ll forget that Ueda just called him drama king because he was sure Ueda is just as confused as him. Suddenly, Ueda stood up and turned his music player on which weirdly made Yuichi felt worse especially since it was a type of song that Koki would particularly like. Some rock with rap type of song. Sigh.
“Will you turn that a bit low?” Taguchi asked as he was so fired up in his game.
“Make me.” Ueda said and settled himself beside the speakers and opened up some magazines.
“Oh, just you wait until I finish this game.” Junno said.
“Alright, you two, have fun with your quality time. I’ll go home now.” Yuichi stood up and made his way to the door.
“Yuichi, I’ll be here when you figure out what is wrong, okay?” Ueda said as he was still scanning the magazine that he just picked out randomly.
Yuichi just smiled and nod which meant both yes and thank you though Ueda’s eyes is still focused on the magazine and he headed out of Ueda’s place.
When Yuichi got home, he found a note from Koki that said that he was out for some grocery. Yuichi just continued to go to the living room and found his lover’s iTouch player on the table. He took the player and settled an earphone to his right ear, and instead of sitting on the couch, he made his way to lean on the wall beside the door to outside the living room. As song by song went on, he sat for a while still leaning on the wall. And he found himself smiling because though he and his lover seem different. They actually click when it comes to music. They always find themselves liking songs on the music player of each other.
And while Yuichi was in his own world, he felt presence beside him. Then, he found Koki sitting beside him while taking the other free earphone to his ear. “So, what song did you like so far?” Koki asked him smiling while trying to take a peek what song was playing then.
“Oh. Hey! I like this new album of Linkin Park.” Yuichi answered as he grinned while watching the Koki’s iTouch player. And a thought got Yuichi. He turned to Koki with his eyes wide open that totally meant that he is about to say something genius. And he felt that this was the thing that was lacking because their relationship actually started with their first collaboration song One on One.
“Koki, let’s compose a new song!” Yuichi suggested.
A/N: Errkaaaayyyyy~ wrote this ages agoooooo lol but did not post until now :)) anyway, thought the fandom has been in comatose lately lol thought I'd revive it for a bit. hahaha and then it goes to coma again :)))) still, I hope I could contribute more to this fandom again. :(( I miss my OTP, I miss KAT-TUN :(
