Perhaps you should consider how to change. How to become more than what you are. How to live with your flaws and remake yourself until they are healed over and a source of strength instead of a source of weakness.

We have been talking things out and went through a sort of "this is your life" with Ikeru, and he feels less certain about leaving. He is still a little desperate for a solution, but is not going to leave us just yet. We are looking for alternate solutions that would not be so permanent--more emphasis on "rebirth" rather than "death".
This is something he has been having a terrible time with since June of 2004. We will likely go to a bookstore later in the week to find something that may help. Any title suggestions are appreciated, though we're not even sure of what to look for.

I recommend "How An Ikeru Thrives In Captivity" by Lady Fiona Tippet. And, I think Fiona would recommend it, too.
