Well, It's in. 7/22/2013 I went into USC's Keck Medical Center and got my pacemaker put in. I was under the impression that it was a quick, simple surgery with minimal recovery. Update
I haven't posted in a long time. I think I have been too frustrated. I'm not even going to get into it, however today I think is the beginning of a resolution. t least I hope so. I went to USC this morning to discuss my second Zio patch results and it ended with the decision to put in a pace maker. I feel ok about it. I know it's kind of drastic. ( Read more... ) -
USC
USC was interesting. No ganglionectomy. More meds. The doctor started me on aldoctone and Wellbutrin. the Wellbutrin is supposed to act as a sort of chemical ganglionectiomy. It's supposed to stimulate serotonin production and as a result calm my nervous system down. She tentatively diagnosed me with dyautonomia which is just a fancy way of saying ( Read more... ) -

I'm going to USC! My primary got the contract approved. I have an appointment March 12th with the chief of cardiology. It took for damn ever to make that appointment. What's Up?
I am waiting for a referral somewhere. My new cardiologist reccomended that I go to USC and get a ganglionectomy. USC does them. but my insurance does not contract with them. I have to wait and see if UCI does, but I don't believe they do. Until then I am managing my heart rate on 540 mg of Verapamil and 0.125 of digoxin. As long as I don't do ( Read more... ) -

I got my dog back yesterday! An entire week later and she was found about two blocks from home. I had to go 30 miles to the county shelter and had to pay nearly $200 to bail her out, but it was well worth it. My girl is home :) -

I had my EP study on Tuesday. Unfortunately there wasn't anything the doctor could ablate. This is good and bad. Now he is calling it IST, which is difficult to treat, so the plan for now is more meds. Great. I came back from my procedure and found that some kids had let my dog out. Sooo...Yeah
I got out of the hospital again this morning. I was admitted Monday because my heart rate was 165 all day and I kept fainting and vomiting. Low mag, low K. All fixed now. My insurance denied an EP study six times, but FINALLY it was approved so I'll have that on Tuesday. Until then I'm taking 60mg q6 cardizem. If the EPS shows nothing the next step ( Read more... )
