CHARACTER NAME: Lois London, aka Mortis
FANDOM: Marvel 616
CHRONOLOGY: the end of Necrosha
CLASS: Villain. She is going to hate everyone. But especially her older sister.
SUPERHERO NAME: Mortis
ALTER EGO: Mortis. She discarded the name Lois once she joined Selene. She'll happily be causing chaos and when she needs money she'll just kill to get it. D: IF THAT IS OKAY
BACKGROUND:
Lois grew up with her mother, Barbara, and her father, Nick Brown, in New York City. Her mother was a singer, while Nick was in charge of producing singers or something rather vague like that. He was slimey and really loved his drugs and alcohol. He was also an abusive jerk who hit her mother all the time. Finally on Christmas day, when she was four, her mom left Nick and took Lois with her. Her mother left behind her life of singing and became a teacher, raising Lois all by herself.
The rest of Lois's childhood was pretty normal and she eventually became a big fan of Dazzler. She started to attend a local college in New York, and her mother revealed to her that Dazzler was actually her older half sister. Lois was excited and confused by that news and went to meet her brand new sister. While spending the night Alison saved the two from a fire by using her powers, revealing to Lois that she was a mutant. Lois kept her secret and got to deal with being a pawn to hurt her sister. She also began having horrible headaches and fainting spells.
After a pretty terrible headache, she left one of Alison's concerts and was attacked by a hobo. She defended herself and her mutant power manifested, killing the man. She was a wreck and went to her sister's apartment, telling her everything. Alison and Lois then went on the run, and while waiting for Ali to get back one night, Lois killed a cat.
At that time someone sent a letter to Alison and Lois that stated he knew what Lois had done. There was photographic evidence of her killing the hobo and if they wanted the negatives, she would need to murder a man for the blackmailer. Alison sent word to Angel to try to help the sisters and the blackmailer was caught.
The intended murder victim turned out to be Lois's father, Nick Brown, who was now really rich and living in Los Angeles. He invited Lois and Alison to live with him. He was still the slimeball that he'd always been but Lois decided to stay with him because she wanted security.
Fast forward a few years and Lois is still living in Los Angeles and dependent on her father. She also despises her older sister now because she's pretty and her power doesn't kill people. She also begins seeing images of the dead hobo. While visiting her drunk father in his office, he calls her a monster and she kills him. The secretary comes in and turns out to be Selene, who takes her under her wing and helps her embrace her power and be a wonderful killing machine.
She becomes part of Selene's Inner Circle and helps the woman slaughter the Hellfire Club. While trying to retrieve the sacred knife that Selene needed Lois killed Diamond Lil. She also tried to kill Wolverine as well but his healing factor saved him. During the final showdown on Genosha, she fought Wolfsbane who told her that she smelled like Alison. Lois was adamant that she was nothing like her sister and Rahne agreed, slicing Lois's throat. Luckily she was saved by Blink, who teleported them away.
PERSONALITY:
Lois longed to be protected when she was younger. At first she leaned on Alison for that protection after her powers kicked in. She did whatever the older girl said and stayed close. But once her father came back into the picture she figured he would be more capable of helping her because of his fame and fortune. After she killed him in her fit of rage she was taken in by Selene, who Lois believed would be powerful enough to be her protector. And then X-Force ruined it all, so she pretty much hates them all.
For the longest time Lois just wanted to be normal. She didn't want to have a power that killed others. She never forgot what she did to the hobo in New York or the poor cat in the hotel room. The guilt ate at her for years until she turned that guilt into hatred for her older sister, Alison Blaire. Alison was everything that Lois wasn't (or at least what she thought she wasn't). Alison was beautiful, had a power that helped others, had the admiration of their mother, and even the admiration of Lois's father. She began to hate the older girl who she used to idolize. Once Selene got her hands on her, Lois's morality went to the wayside and she embraced what she could do, happily killing those that Selene wanted dead.
She's currently a mess of a young woman, with a seething hatred for the X-Men and their allies because they ruined Selene's plans. Her hatred is most intense for her sister, who she thinks is the cause of all her woes. She'll be motivated by it to try and ruin a number of lives. She has no problem killing to get what she believes she deserves anymore.
Lois does feel a little remorseful for having killed her father in her rage, but she tries not to think about that and harden herself the way Selene taught her to. She will also be seriously pissed at anyone who hurts Alison because damn it, that is her job.
POWER:
She can create energy from her hands that disintegrates non-organic matter. When she touches something living she can cause pain or instantly kill them. She can control these now though so she has to actually want someone to die when she touches them.

COMMUNITY POST (FIRST PERSON) SAMPLE:
[The video opens up to show a young woman with dark hair sitting on a rather nice looking sofa. She's nonchalantly flipping through a magazine. There is a young man and woman slumped over on either side of her, obviously dead.]
I suppose it shouldn't be surprising that even when I'm pulled into some other world Daddy's fucking angel is also here. And not just here, but making herself a star all over again. But that's what you always did, isn't it? Take everyone else's light and make it your own, until you're the only thing that shines.
Typical.
[She takes a sip of her wine and continues to turn the pages.]
I bet she has all of you under her spell. None of you can see the truth about the little leech. It's subtle though and I doubt if anyone notices how she steals from you to power herself. She was always so good at hiding her true nature from the world. Had everyone believing her light shows were because of some device no one ever really saw.
[She stops flipping, staring intently at whatever is on the page.]
I'm sure all her fans will protest and say what a charming, lovely woman she is. But family always knows the dirty little secrets of the past. After all, do any of you know she aided and abetted a murderer?
[The magazine is turned so everyone can see what Lois has been looking at. It's an advertisement for one of Dazzler's shows.]
I can't wait for the concert, Alison.
[She finally looks up, and smiles.]
I'm sure it'll be a scream.
LOGS POST (THIRD PERSON) SAMPLE:
If asked Lois wasn't sure she would ever be able to pinpoint the precise moment when she stopped idolizing her older sister and began to hate her instead. It was like an open wound, festering over the years as she saw countless news reports about Dazzler and her career or heard her father speak highly of the girl. Each statement, each clipping added to the intensity of her bitterness.
Alison could live a normal life, without the fear that she would harm another. Lois could not. She only had the guilt of her first two accidental kills constantly on her mind, chipping steadily away at her soul. As time passed she came to blame the sister that had left her all those years ago for her suffering. She could twist anything wrong that happened in her life to be the goody two shoes' fault.
Selene had sensed the turmoil in her and used it to her advantage, carving Lois into the perfect killing machine. She fed Lois's belief that Alison was the cause of her problems, that no one had ever understood her. She gave Lois a purpose and then her sister's friends had ruined everything. Once again she'd suffered while Alison flourished. It wasn't right.
And now that she was here in the City, she silently seethed at the life her older sister had carved out for herself. A happy normal existence again where she was adored and successful. Somehow Alison had become famous enough to gather herself adoring fans, had the dream job she'd always wanted, and a boyfriend on top of it all. Alison had it all and Lois had nothing.
But she wouldn't let it be that way for too long. She would show the world that they had picked the wrong sister to adore. All Alison could do was make light. Lois could hold people's lives in her hands. Wasn't that the better power?
Lois stuck to the shadows, watching her sister go about her life. Soon she would reveal herself. Soon she would let them all know she was around and she would watch as her sister's world shattered into pieces.
Maybe then she'd be able to feel some sliver of happiness.
