Had a dream this morning in which I was riding the bus home from work. It was a long bus ride, but it got to my stop, so everything was cool. Then I woke up. On the bus. Stopped in traffic. On the way to work. It took several seconds for my brain to sort out the reality of this situation and come to the heartbreaking conclusion that Monday ( Read more... )

Ouch.

I've been having nightmares the past few weeks where I'm in the office, and something traumatic happens - in the last one, my task list (on my real-life project!) got doubled, we fired the other developer in my group, and our deadline didn't change.

One week til feature complete...one week til feature complete...

At least you didn't get put in a headlock and dragged up a flight of spiral stairs.

Luckily, I woke up about halfway up. Pretty terrible time to wake up from a dream. Pretty terrible dream, too. Which is prolly why I never posted about it.

Anyway. You're dream sucked also. Sorry, d00d.

What was at the top of the stairs? Was there a top? If there was no top, how could you go halfway up? Metaphorical answers are welcome.

Strangely enough, at the top of the stairs was vindication. It was odd that I was being forcefully dragged there instead of being allowed to climb that flight of my own free will (which was what I had set about to do in the first place).

Sometimes, you try to take your own path. And you know it's the right path, and others know that it's the right path for you. Yet for whatever reason, they impose their supervision on you.
