Layla sat at the window watching the syrup rain come down. She had a plate of eggo waffles sitting on the window sill and a cup outside the window collecting syrup.

After a week of classes and whatnot, Layla figured a eggo treat was the best way to celebrate.

Claire was bored and Jon was busy so she went wandering, looking for people to bother.

The smell of waffles led her to Layla's doorway.

"Making the best of Fandom Weirdness. I approve."

"You know the saying," Layla smirked. "Life. Lemons. Lemonade. It's the same but with eggo waffles."

"Makes sense to me," Claire agreed. "Except now I'm craving waffles."

"I've got a toaster and I'm not afraid to use it," Layla offered politely. "Though the syrup capturing is taking a bit of time.

"Evenin' lass," George said, coming into their room and flopping back on his bed. "How's th' syrup?"

"Getting there," Layla said. "There's some Eggos on your desk if you'd like one."

"I would," he said instantly, bouncing back up and heading for the food. "You're a peach of a roommate."

"I know," Layla replied. "Besides I thought you might need something to take your mind off Bobby showing up during your date with Jean."
