I read it all! WHERE ARE MY COOKIES? =^^=

He looks like Rick Moranis' character Dark Helmet in Spaceballs.

That was ALL we were quoting whenever a Sontaran was onscreen. "Ohhhh... his helmet is so big."

OMG, can I please have more Donna/Martha interaction? Actually, Donna/Martha/Ten? I am SO happy how quickly they bonded and NO SNARK and... and... teasing the Doctor. *loves*

I said I had some! Come on ovah! You have a selection of homebaked that I made yesterday or oreos. Hee hee!

I think I'm going to pull out Spaceballs today. Whee! Although I might be tempted away by my new copy of Primer...

The first Sontarans were really short, but then they got taller in the '80s. *is full of useful facts*

I think my memory of the Sontarans are strongly colored by "The Two Doctors", which I saw really recently. I need to break out my copy of "Time Warrior" which I haven't seen in a few years to remind me.

The UST it BURNS!! Seriously, where's all the pr0n at? And if they happened to include Martha in their shenanigans I really wouldn't object.

Donna is so many flavours of awesome - and what's more, she makes people around her awesome too. I love her.

I'm just waiting for screencaps to turn up so I can iconize the trio of awesome even though I totally don't have the time for photoshop.

WHHAATTTT ABBBBOUUUTTTT THHHEEEE BRIIIGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG????!!!!!!!! srsly. not even a mention.

Given her life experiences, her YEAR of travelling (and I'm sure tending to the sick along with spreading the word of the Doctor), it is understandable that she is fully qualified.
This is actually my MAJOR quibble with the development of Martha's character. My own degree is over in just under a week, and if only i'd known that I could get it fast-tracked by travelling in time and space sooner. I could have saved myself SO much time and money.

Just. Blah. I loved at the beginning of season 3 where Martha was all "WHAT?! 'DOCTER?!' WHERE DO YOU GET OFF CALLING YOURSELF THAT! YOU MUST EARN YOUR TITLE DAMNIT." and now she's all "LOOKIT ME! IMMA DOCTER! IT WAS FAST TRACKED EVEN THOUGH I DID ABOUT A WEEK OF MEDICAL TRAINING AND AM PROBABLY NOT ACTUALLY QUALIFIED TO TREAT ANYONE! HUZZAH!!"

She had all these principles, and she just seems to have stopped caring about those because now shes got a nice new shiny job.

I think that Martha was definitely past the pre-clinical portion of her education. She already exhibits knowledge and it's clear that she already "works at the hospital". In "Smith and Jones", she's shown doing clinical observations and rounds. Not exactly sure what method she's being trained under because it's not clear what school is being attended, but she's at least halfway through her training (she's past the first two years and is in clinical observation). In fact, with her saying that she'll be a doctor, too, once she passes her exams, indicates to me that she's working in the time&experience portion of her education with her exams at the end left ( ... )

See, in Britain, nearly every single degree IS three years long... unless you're taking a Sandwich Degree in which case usually the third year is a work placement in industry, and the fourth is back at University. Certain business degrees have a study abroad year element involved which means they take four years, but my year of study abroad was integrated so i'm still only in it for the three years like the rest of my graduating class ( ... )

Just taking my information on medical education degrees from wikipedia, since I'm not familiar with how it works there... but it definitely seems to be differences in medical education. I'm not convinced that we know how much education Martha has had since the information provided in canon is limited.

Donna, ftw. Martha, ftw. Ten, ftw. Wilf, ftw. There was just so much good there.

If you've ever seen The Young Ones or AbFab, the head Sontaran was in both of them. Gave my husband and I few fits of the giggles, it did.
