Good for the Moff, then! I was SO GLAD that she came back; otherwise the episode would've been utterly pointless in every way, save to force MORE plotless emo, as if we needed it, upon us.
Yes, the universe is wilder and bigger than one Doctor could ever manage. That's why we need our Romanas, our Sarahs, our Brigs, our Jacks...and now our Jennys.
If you do listen to the podcast commentary (downloaded from iTunes), it's at about 43:45 in:
RTD: Can I say, actually when this was very first being discussed - it was Steven Moffat's idea - I said "we're doing the Doctor's daughter, and of course, she'll die," and he said "No you should make her live" absolutely right - brilliant.
DT: If there's a sequel begging to be made, it's the end of this episode.
RTD: Absolutely.
AT: Spinoff, spinoff
RTD: I'm sure Steven would love to write that, with a beautiful blonde lady as well. But all fair dues to him it's like you've seen these stories before and they always die and it's such a good idea to keep them alive.
I'm actually torn about that ending. Yes, I agree that all kinds of interesting options remain open by having Jenny out there somewhere. And even more important to me is that the whole "I lose everyone I love" theme is starting to become grindingly repetetive, so it's nice that this wasn't one of those -- assuming of course that the Doctor and Jenny cross paths again, because otherwise the Doctor will continue to think he lost her. OTOH, we've seen so many deaths-that-are-not-deaths, it's just starting to be a parlor trick.
I think I'll just withhold judgment and see where it goes from here.

I was rather hoping it was the case with Ross in 4x05, but I think that's just fangirl sniffle.
Yup. I was wondering if her resurrection might be a setup for the finale.
