Wanted: Tree Surgeon

There is a tree outside my window that's really really close to it. Its normally very nice because little birds live in it and they sit on the branches against the window and talk to me in the morning. The problem now is that there is a branch that has gotten out of control and every time the wind blows it, it scrapes across the window making a

obviously, due to the spider issue I wont personally be able to help... but I do have a pair of long handelled secateurs for cutting branches... can't be a huge branch...

Well, get someone to hold on to you, lean out of the window and snap/saw off the branches that get too near the window?
