So I was on vacation ("sabbatical") for six weeks since the beginning of May, and haven't really been posting much. Time to catch up on life and stuff, using bullet points

Some people would take issue with calling Star Trek a "real IMAX" movie, due to the film format it was filmed in not being true IMAX film. (Most studio films that are shown in IMAX were not filmed in IMAX - most science-museum-documentary IMAX movies were filmed on the giant IMAX film). The difference is subtle.

I am not one of these people, but I know of them. Giant movies are giant.

That's more about IMAX films than I ever knew :-) Actually the only reason I called it a "real IMAX" movie is that I've seen giant movies before, but they were so long ago I couldn't remember if they were IMAX or not. All I can recall is that they made me feel like the theater was moving....
