Yay, you're a trusty shellback! Captain Jeremy was our Neptune too. When the Sea Olympics came around, I (and a few other Arabian Sea pirates) thought about kidnapping him at lunch. He said he'd rather not, but later seemed disappointed that we didn't do it anyway.

I was researching the ceremony online and found an entire script for a Neptune-style wedding, complete with vows. It was truly weird.

Did you get to see Table Mountain as the ship pulled in? Isn't it pretty? Have you seen the seals and penguins yet?

Neptune Day & safari! anonymous March 5 2007, 22:54:58 UTC
Ilana,

I'm so glad that you participated in the festivities; I think that that day was one of Amie-June's favorites (or craziest!). I know how hard it is to get Jason up in the morning, so I believe you when you said you tried! He buzzed his hair off for Neptune Day, but last summer gave me untold grief when he kept refusing to get his hair cut; I think it's a definite control issue!

I'm thrilled you are in South Africa and able to go on your safari from there (since Kenya is off the itinerary this voyage). I know that these next few days will be very memorable for you.

Keep up the postings (when you have time), everyone I've talked with is enjoying them very much!

Diane

Sounds like you guys are really getting to see quite a bit of interesting stuff. I'm waiting to see the picture of Jason bald. He had such a lovely head of hair. Has Jason given up on his journal? You are doing a great job of decribing your adventures. More Later Papa Jim

WHAT? What sort of cruise is this anyway. Gonna sacrifice a lamb while you're at it? Remember the good Christian values mom taught us before it's too late!
